This course is designed to provide the therapist with the basics of sandtray in play therapy. Participants will engage in activities including interactive experiences, lecture, reflection & small group discussion. Topics include selection of sand, selection and display of miniatures, designing a portable sandtray, process vs. product, processing tray with client, identifying themes, using sandtray in the school counseling office, and developmental expectations of clients. Each participant will be provided with a portable sandtray to keep.
